IKP is located in a sprawling 200-acre campus in the heart of Genome Valley, Turkapally, Hyderabad. This is the first organised biotech cluster in India for life sciences research, training, collaboration and manufacturing activities. Spread over 600 sq. km. around the IKP Knowledge Park, the Genome Valley provides world-class infrastructure facilities to over 100 biotech companies. A large number of R&D and academic institutions in and around the biotech cluster contribute to the knowledge and talent pool.

The Park is located close to upcoming modern housing complexes being planned for the Biotech and Knowledge Parks. The airport is at a distance of 60 kms. from the park and can be reached via the ORR, PV Narasimha Rao Expressway and National Highway 9. The city offers access to sophisticated medical facilities, modern housing, excellent schools, supermarkets, health clubs and leisure facilities including theatres, bowling alleys and a golf course.

The State Government has identified Information Technology, Biotechnology and Drugs & Pharmaceuticals as the thrust areas for development. Hyderabad is home to several universities and specialised institutions for research and higher learning. The City is well equipped with roads, an efficient transport system, abundant power and a modern telecommunication network. It is well connected to all the major cities in India and houses an international airport with regular flights to the Middle East, the Far East, USA, UK and Europe.
